With "Blizzard 2011" upon us, I thought this was a perfect find. Hopefully, items like this won't be needed. But, if someone were to be trapped on the highway over night, this would come in handy.
It converts from a warm coat to a sleeping back (as shown in the photo below.)
As always, be prepared in extreme weather, if you don't have to go out, don't. If you are out, keep warm; layer up, have supplies (such as food, water, blankets, flashlight...).
Originally, these coats were designed to protect and shelter the homeless. The designer hopes to sell them for $40-$60 a piece, which will then be donated to the homeless.
